“Children must be taught how to think, not what to think.” – Margaret Mead

I loved biology long before I actually understood the subject. This led to my decision to study biology at Hollins University where I am also pursuing a teaching license for 6-12.  I hope to share my passion with my students through enthusiasm and engaging activities. To work towards my goal of becoming the best teacher I can be, I am continuously developing my Teaching Philosophy.

Teaching Goals:

  • To create a safe, welcoming learning environment for all my students.
  • To inspire a love and passion for science.
  • To promote curious minds that use critical thinking to solve problems.
